Master of Chiropractic

Anna Linnéa Carlsson

My first experience with chiropractic care was when I began working at a family wellness chiropractic clinic. It made me realize how the body is capable of transforming a person’s overall health. It was truly rewarding to witness how people could be helped to live life to their fullest potential, and how someone who came in with pain and worries could be transformed and leave happy and smiling. Seeing firsthand the profound impact that chiropractic care had on people’s lives inspired me so much that I decided to become a chiropractor myself – to help others live not just pain-free, but healthier and happier lives.

Interview

What does health mean to you? What is a healthy person?

After working as a receptionist in various chiropractic clinics, I noticed something interesting. People who initially came in seeking relief from specific symptoms often experienced more than just pain alleviation. They felt better overall, more energized, and even adopted healthier lifestyle choices. I watched as chiropractic care transformed their lives, not just physically but emotionally, as they shifted from focusing on their pain to thriving. This made me realize how deeply chiropractic care impacted people’s well-being, and it inspired me to become a chiropractor myself—to help others live not just pain-free, but healthier and happier lives.

What is the magic of chiropractic in your eyes? Why do you love this system?

Pain and suffering are more than just physical discomfort; they’re deeply emotional experiences that can affect every part of your day—how you wake up, how you feel at work, and even how you relate to others. There’s no quick fix to bypass the nervous system’s natural response to pain or stress. Telling ourselves to “calm down” in moments of panic doesn’t solve the root issue; it’s just a temporary distraction. Ignoring these signals can disconnect us from our bodies and, over time, lead to imbalances that affect our health.
A healthy person is someone who can use energy and matter to organize themselves in increasingly complex and adaptive ways, promoting growth and development. The more we resist simply blending into the environment around us, the more we embrace our uniqueness. True health is found in the balance between an organism and its surroundings, in the continual striving for equilibrium.

What is your goal when you meet a patient? Where do you want to take the patient?

At the core of all life forms is the principle of growth and development. Healing is about replacing old cells with new ones. Growth often requires navigating through stress and chaos, as these forces drive adaptation and change.
The nervous system plays a pivotal role in perceiving and responding to energy demands in the present moment, adjusting the organism to its changing environment. It’s through this process of change that we grow. In life, change is necessary to maintain vitality and to evolve.

My goal when working with a client is to guide them toward a healthier, more balanced state—where they can function at their highest potential. I believe every person deserves to live a life filled with health and happiness, and the more an individual can adapt and organize themselves to a higher level, the more they are able to embrace growth, even when facing challenges. This continual balancing act leads to a greater sense of health and well-being.

Can you tell us about your qualifications and training?

I completed my Master of Chiropractic at the Barcelona College of Chiropractic in 2018. My training included techniques like Network Spinal, as well as Craniosacral Therapy and MLS, which focuses on gentle and precise adjustments. Each technique offers a unique approach to helping the body reorganise and regenerate to function better and for optimal healing.
